NEW TO THE TABLE?

Three steps. Endless good hands.

Tongits is Filipino rummy for three players. Here, Matthew and Sofia are your computer opponents.

01

Draw a card

Take a card from the deck. Or pick the top discard when you can use it in a meld right away. The dealer starts with 13 cards and skips the first draw.

02

Make your melds

Lay down three or four of a kind, or a run of at least three cards in the same suit. Use Sapaw to add cards to any exposed meld.

03

Discard. Get closer.

Discard one card to end your turn. Empty your hand to win with Tongits. When the deck runs out, the lowest eligible hand wins.

A few things to know

Can I play on my phone?

Yes. Play in portrait or landscape. Tap a card to select it, then tap an action. Cards and controls rearrange to fit your screen.

How do points and draw calls work?

Aces count as 1, number cards at face value, and J, Q, K as 10. Only exposed melds remove cards from your hand points. You can call draw at the beginning of your turn after exposing a meld. Opened players compare hand points; a defender beats the caller in a tie. Equal defenders use seat order. At stock-out, opened players compare points; if nobody opened, all players compare. Equal stock-out scores use seat order.

What are Group, Meld, and Sapaw?

Group only organizes selected cards in your hand; it does not lower points. Meld lays a valid set or run on the table. Sapaw adds your selected cards to a valid exposed meld. Aces are low in runs: A–2–3 works, Q–K–A does not.

Is it really free? Am I playing real people?

Completely free, with no account required. You play locally against two computer opponents. There are no wagers, deposits, prizes or real-money transactions.
